Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen is looking for qualified candidates with an active NAR, completed CNA courses, and clinicals to join our team as a Nursing Assistant. Work in this role while awaiting your CNA license, which must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
Pay
Starting at $20.00 per hour. Placement within the wage range is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities
- Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Ambulate residents and apply proper lifting and transferring techniques
- Provide proper positioning and use of postural supports
- Maintain residents’ positioning as needed
- Weigh residents on schedule and record weights accurately
- Provide restorative and rehabilitative nursing
- Respond, within scope of practice, to needs and concerns of residents and family members
- Work with the caregiving team to identify and resolve resident and family issues
- Promptly respond to call lights and other resident needs
- Treat residents with compassion and dignity
- Establish effective communication/interaction with residents and families
- Ensure residents are given the correct diet
- Use proper feeding techniques while respecting personal dignity and meeting residents’ needs for socialization
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have an active Nurse Assistant Registration (NAR), completed CNA courses, and completed clinicals
- Must obtain Certified Nurse Assistant certification within 120 days of hire
- Must maintain current certification in the state throughout employment
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- Must relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and coworkers
- Must be willing to assist others, including coworkers
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation (vaccinated or documentation for medical/religious exemption)
Recent clinical experience or education is preferred.
