Nurse Assistant (NA)/ Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Ortho/surgical

Time Type: Part Time (48 hours per 2 week pay period), with benefits
Typical Hours: Night Shift, 7pm to 7am, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by licensed nursing personnel
• Provide basic patient care including bathing, hygiene, elimination, toileting, nutrition feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning
• Support patient safety and satisfaction through regular patient rounds and effective communication with team members
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Successful completion and proof of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum meeting minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 30-20.125 (required), or documented experience as one of the following:
  • Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Room Technician, or Surgical Technician in the past three years
  • Completed LPN program outside the U.S. and awaiting licensure examination
  • Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or equivalent course
  • Nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass state licensure examinations in the past three years
  • Certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082, RSMo
• BLS Certification
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience (preferred)
• Previous computer experience (preferred)
