Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located on 23 hillside acres in Sparks, Nevada, dedicated to providing quality healthcare in a comfortable, accessible environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor.
  • Communicate with RN preceptor about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Demonstrate supportive behaviors for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR in partnership with the patient inside the room.
  • Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
  • In coordination with RN preceptor, formulate and revise a patient care plan based on the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate its effectiveness daily.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.
  • Nevada CNA License required.
  • Current BLS certification.
