Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located on 23 hillside acres in Sparks, Nevada, dedicated to providing quality healthcare in a comfortable, accessible environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor.
- Communicate with RN preceptor about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Demonstrate supportive behaviors for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR in partnership with the patient inside the room.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
- In coordination with RN preceptor, formulate and revise a patient care plan based on the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate its effectiveness daily.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
- Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.
- Nevada CNA License required.
- Current BLS certification.
