About the role

The CRNA provides comprehensive care during anesthesia procedures, managing various aspects such as pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation, anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence, post-anesthetic care, pain management, and emergency response to airway and cardiac situations.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation
  • Anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence
  • Post-anesthetic care
  • Pain management
  • Responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardiac life support techniques

Requirements

  • Graduate from an NBCRNA accredited school of nurse anesthesia
  • Maintains active Alabama RN/APN license
  • Current certification / recertification: NBCRNA
  • Maintains current ACLS, PALS and BLS certification

Qualifications

  • Experience in a variety of clinical settings including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills

Skills

  • Proficient in anesthesia administration
  • Knowledgeable in emergency response protocols
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Marshall Medical Center South is a 150-bed hospital in Boaz, Alabama, and opened in 1956. Marshall Medical Center North, in Guntersville, opened in 1990 - and - is a 90-bed facility. In addition to the two hospitals, the Gary R. Gore Medical Complex is conveniently located mid-county and is home to several outpatient clinics and a 22,000 square foot comprehensive Cancer Care Center.
