About the Role

As the Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Rio Grande Regional Hospital, you will perform a variety of general radiographic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist. You will conduct tests on both in-patients and out-patients using Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures.
  • Receive radioactive materials, prepare radioactive material doses, and maintain radiation records.
  • Perform all tasks expected in rotation of the hot lab area.
  • Utilize established radiation safety techniques and equipment.
  • Handle related duties such as scheduling and charging exams.
  • Take emergency after-hours call on a rotating basis.

Requirements

  • 1 year of previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certification as a (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or (ARRT-R)(N) Radiography.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree – Graduate of an AMA-accredited nuclear school of medicine or Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology is required.
