About the Role
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides professional care to achieve the goals of the Nuclear Imaging/Medicine/PET programs for diagnosing mostly adult and geriatric patients at Mercy Hospital. This role ensures a safe and efficient working environment in the Nuclear Imaging/Medicine/PET departments while adhering to the ALARA program to minimize radiation exposure to self, staff, patients, physicians, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional care in Nuclear Imaging/Medicine/PET programs for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a safe and efficient department following ALARA guidelines to minimize radiation exposure.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology/Radiography.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Radiography (ARRT-R).
