Position Summary
About the role
Lends direction to the Nuclear Medicine technologist and appropriate support staff. Also responsible to perform nuclear medicine procedures; works under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, Nuclear Medicine Section Head and Nuclear Medicine medical director.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to established policies and procedures and maintain open communication with departmental leadership and other staff regarding patient care delivery, technical operations, equipment utilization, regulatory compliance, and continuing education.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
- Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with physicians, peers, technologists and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine license; and Current ARRT registered certification in Nuclear Medicine with RT(N) designation; and/or Current NMTCB registered certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology with CNMT designation.
- For technologists performing SPECT-CT: Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine license SPECT-CT endorsement and/or current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine license CT endorsement and/or current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license.
Qualifications
