Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Minimum of 18 months of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and one (1) year as a Radiology Technologist
  • Certified/ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certified
  • Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce images of organs on photographic film
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
  • Carefully, compassionately, and respectfully perform technical procedures
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using computerized systems (MEDITECH)
