Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials in order to perform imaging and laboratory and dynamic function studies necessary to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Prepares radioactive isotopes and operates nuclear medicine cameras and related equipment. Demonstrates and explains procedures and techniques used in nuclear medicine studies, including how to compute necessary doses and correct use of new and existing equipment.
Qualifications
- 2 year / Associate Degree
- Less than 1 year experience
- FL State Reg Rad Tech Licensure
- ARRT and/or NMTCB
About the Role
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast and provide interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center and the Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center and have the area’s only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
