Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine
About the role
Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic (site specific) purposes under the direction of a physician. Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters. Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material, calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control, monitors patients and performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals
- Performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters
- Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material
- Calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control
- Maintains patient monitoring and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education sufficient to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements
- Upon hire: Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Temporary Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology or National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Qualifications
- 2 years of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Skills
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and techniques
- Ability to perform calculations and manipulate data according to established parameters
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
