About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of tasks including dose calculation and administration, radiation safety, direct patient care, imaging and computer analysis, quality control and assurance, and Radionuclide Therapy under the direction of a Nuclear Medicine Physician.

Responsibilities

  • Dose calculation and administration

Requirements

  • Current R.T. (N) and/or CNMT
  • Currrent AHA CPR certification
  • Knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
  • Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span
  • Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
