About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) images on patients while providing excellent care.
  • Follow company-established nuclear medicine protocols and procedures.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of a radiologist to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes.
  • Guide patients through procedures by explaining steps and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical issues and take appropriate action.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
  • Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification.
  • State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Venipuncture certification/permit.
  • BLS certification.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Pay

$62.00–$85.00 per hour.
