About the Role
The Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates nuclear medicine imaging equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role involves ensuring radiation safety, maintaining high-quality imaging standards, and effectively communicating with patients and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
- Ensure radiation safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program with completed clinical hours.
- At least one year of relevant experience.
- Current licensure and certifications (e.g., NMTCB or ARRT (N)).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of biohazard safety and NRC regulations.
- Adherence to radiation safety following ALARA standards.
- Strong decision-making and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Perform various physical movements (e.g., bending, stooping, reaching).
