Shift: Night – 3 × 12‑hour shifts (NIGHTS)
Sign‑on bonus: $10,000
Responsibilities
- Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols; consult radiologist as needed.
- Transport patients to and from exam rooms and assist them into position using safe patient‑handling techniques and equipment.
- Perform radiology procedures and observe patients during the procedure to ensure safety and comfort.
- Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reactions when needed.
- Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality, including laterality marking and annotation per protocol.
- Utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image‑management systems as needed.
- Assist in coordination of daily workflow for department activities.
- Maintain equipment in efficient operating order; perform and document required quality‑control testing; contact service for repair and maintenance as directed.
- Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
- Participate in orientation, training, and in‑servicing of staff as needed.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned area.
- Maintain stock and inventory as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of an ARRT‑accredited Radiography program or U.S. military Radiography training (required).
- Associate’s degree (preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification (required).
- ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (required).
- Radiology Tech License – ARRT (R) credential and licensure (required prior to start date).
- Arizona Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (required prior to start date).
