About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Rank will be commensurate with experience. Position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily clinical nuclear medicine services
- Supervise and teach residents and fellows during procedures and conferences
- Participate in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties
- Lecture at assigned resident didactic conferences and nuclear radiology fellow lecture series
- Teach at case conferences and participate in journal club meetings
- Teach medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital
- Lead clinical excellence as an integral feature of the Academic Clinician track
- Perform and interpret nuclear medicine stress tests and EKGs
- Evaluate and treat patients with therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and general nuclear medicine studies
- Serve in a clinical administration leadership role within the Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy Division
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- Specialty certification in nuclear medicine (current American Board of Nuclear Medicine certification or a CAQ in nuclear radiology from the American Board of Radiology)
- Completion of a nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology ACGME-approved training program
- Extensive PET/CT experience
