Assistant Professor of Radiology - Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy - Academic Clinician Junior Ranks

About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily clinical nuclear medicine services
• Supervise and teach residents and fellows during procedures and conferences
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties
• Lecture at assigned resident didactic conferences and nuclear radiology fellow lecture series
• Attend and teach at case conferences and participate in journal club meetings
• Lecture medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital
• Perform and interpret nuclear medicine stress tests, EKGs, evaluate and treat patients with therapeutic radio-pharmaceuticals and general nuclear medicine studies
• Have extensive PET/CT experience

Requirements

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
• Board-eligible or have specialty certification in nuclear medicine, either current American Board of Nuclear Medicine certification or a CAQ in nuclear radiology from the American Board of Radiology
• Completed a nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology ACGME-approved training program

• Extensive PET/CT experience
