About the role

Nemours is seeking a Nuclear Med PET CT Technologist (CASUAL/PRN) to join our Nemours Children’s Health team in Orlando, Florida. This position involves performing Nuclear Medicine, Bone Densitometry, Radiography, and imaging studies while providing quality healthcare services to patients in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine, PET, Bone Densitometry, Radiography, and related imaging studies.
  • Provide total patient care, including accurate preparation instructions and answering procedural questions for patients and families.
  • Ensure proper function and maintenance of all Nuclear Medicine equipment; report unsafe conditions and incidents.
  • Participate in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance services.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, PET, Bone Densitometry, Radiation Safety, and related equipment.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications as part of standard protocols to ensure quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare and administer oral and IV contrast used in imaging studies.
  • Properly identify patients and images, interact with PACS, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Operate hospital computer systems for patient data entry, retrieval, and order completion.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient’s age, developmental stage, or social maturity.
  • Work well with others, act as a team member, and engage in critical thinking to improve the quality of care.
  • Aid in the training of new personnel, students, and physicians.
  • Attend regularly and work a flexible schedule, including on-call basis as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required.
  • Completion of an AMA Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience required.
  • ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required.
  • Florida State licensure for Nuclear Medicine technology required.
  • AHA BLS certification required.

Work Schedule

  • 2 days per week, Monday & Wednesday.
