About the Role
Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, technicians are responsible for the safe handling and administration of radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. They operate specialized imaging and computer systems to perform exams that aid radiologists and cardiologists in diagnosis.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine exams
- Ensure safety protocols in handling radionuclides
- Operate imaging and computer systems efficiently
- Collaborate with medical professionals for accurate diagnosis
Requirements
- Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Nuclear Medicine Program
- ARRT and/or CNMT Certification
- Experience with SPECT systems, cardiac imaging, and computer acquisition/processing
- CPR Certified
- Availability for rotating "on call" evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain 24 CEUs within 3 years and complete annual stroke education
