About the role

Join our team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Casual/PRN) at Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry imaging studies
  • Provide a quality health care service that includes total patient care in a comfortable, friendly environment
  • Participate in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and make recommendations
  • Implement actions consistent with Nemours goals
  • Work well with others, act as a team member
  • Work independently and engage in critical thinking to improve the quality of care
  • Aid in training of new personnel and students

Requirements

  • Completion of AMA Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required
  • Minimum of 3 months experience required
  • New graduates are welcome (Must complete on the job training for DXA and/or CT)
  • State of Delaware Nuclear Medicine Technology License required within 90 days of hire
  • ARRT (N) or CNMT certified or eligible (required within 90 days of hire)
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire
  • Preferred: ARRT (limited scope bone dense) certified; DE state licensure for Bone Densitometry; CT certified; DE state licensure for CT

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills are essential to this position due to required continuous interaction with public and professional, medical personnel.

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine and DEXA protocols
  • Radiation Safety
  • Working knowledge of all Nuclear Medicine and DEXA equipment
