Primary Responsibilities
- Support development of engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems and components in an interactive manner with other engineering functional areas.
- Prepare, review, maintain, and defend licensing documentation supporting the SMR-300 design.
- Prepare and defend position papers for areas where the existing regulatory framework does not apply, or where there is a need for new or revised regulatory requirements or guidance.
- Prepare and deliver licensing presentations to internal and external organizations.
- Support project management for activities including development of licensing submissions.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- 4-8 years experience in the nuclear field. Commercial industry or military field.
- 2-4 years experience with NRC regulatory affairs.
