Nuclear Analysis Tech C / Civil Engineering Techs

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nuclear Analysis Technician to join our team supporting Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions. This role assists engineers and other higher-classified personnel in technical functions related to the generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and/or graphic form, requiring calculations involving basic algebraic formulae and trigonometric functions.
• Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets or specific check programs.
• Assist in the preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
• Assist in the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
• Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes, and associated records.
• Run data analysis and/or computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems.
• Support various engineering activities in the assigned functional group to learn new skills and grow knowledge of engineering processes.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in a technical curriculum, or 60 college credits in an engineering curriculum, or completion of a recognized technical program (e.g., Naval Nuclear or other military programs).
• Minimum of 2 courses in Math and 2 courses in Physics.
• No amount of experience will substitute for the required education in this role.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $41,070 to $60,000 per year, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
