Nuclear Analysis Tech C / Engineering Techs / Physics Techs
Responsibilities
Assist engineers and other higher classified personnel in technical type functions related to the generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information.
Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets or specific check programs.
Assist in the preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
Assist in the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.
Run data analysis and/or computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems.
Requirements
This position identifies engineering work which requires a high degree of manipulative or other special skills acquired through experience, coupled with technical training and application of knowledge in the area of specialization.

Qualifications
The Education Requirement includes:
- An associates degree in a technical curriculum.
- Two courses in math.
- Two courses in physics.
Or,
- Sixty college credits in an engineering curriculum.
- Two courses in math.
- Two courses in physics.
Experience Requirement: No amount of experience will be permitted to substitute for the required education in a Nuclear Analysis Technician position. However, recognized technical programs will be permitted to substitute for the required formal education. Some examples of acceptable technical programs would be the Naval Nuclear or other military programs.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $41,069.76 to $67,661.42 per year.
