NP/PA - Addiction Medicine - Grand Rapids, MI - Part Time
About the role
The practice has an opening for a flexible, caring, and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with specific interest in patients impacted by substance use and alcohol disorders. The position is part-time, benefit eligible, and offers a two-day work week with ten-hour days. Telemedicine satellite clinic coverage is also provided.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide empathetic and supportive care to patients dealing with substance use and alcohol disorders
- Participate in a telemedicine satellite clinic as needed
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in either Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed in the state of Michigan as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a collaborative role
- Current, relevant clinical experience in treating patients with substance use and alcohol disorders
- Completion of required Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within 90 days of hire
