North America Health Business Operations Leader

About the role
This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both virtually and from an Aon office in the United States, in accordance with Aon's Smart Working policy. The Business Operations Leader will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the North America Health Solutions leadership team. Working closely with the Health Solution Practice Leader and Human Capital North America COO, you will help drive execution of business priorities, lead a high-performing operations function, and deliver initiatives that enhance performance, colleague effectiveness, and client outcomes.
This is a highly visible leadership role that sits at the center of business strategy, operations, and transformation for North America Health Solutions. You will partner directly with senior executives to influence decision-making, shape operational priorities, and help deliver long-term business objectives. The role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale operational and transformation initiatives while working collaboratively across Human Capital and the wider Aon enterprise. Success in this position will have a direct impact on business performance, colleague experience, and client service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to complete business priorities, operating plans, and critical initiatives.
- Supervise operational, workforce, and financial performance through relevant metrics, dashboards, and business insights.
- Support workforce planning, forecasting, capacity management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Deliver operational excellence programs that improve efficiency, scalability, consistency, and colleague experience.
- Drive business transformation initiatives, including operating model evolution, operational improvement, and organizational change programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance through technology, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Lead and develop the North America Health Business Operations team while encouraging a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build positive relationships across Finance, People Organization, Technology, Legal, Procurement, and other enterprise functions to enable effective business execution.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading business operations, operational strategy, consulting, or business management functions within complex organizations.
- Proven success delivering operational improvements, leading transformation initiatives, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership teams and operating optimally within matrixed environments.
- Strong financial, commercial, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience with a passion for developing inclusive, high-performing teams and building strong collaborator relationships.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience is required. Advanced degree preferred.
Pay
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $180,000 to $220,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
