Nontenure Line Faculty Pool - Department of Marketing
About the role
The Department of Marketing in the McCoy College of Business seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach Marketing courses. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis.
Responsibilities
- Teach Marketing courses at the San Marcos, TX TXST campus, the Round Rock, TX TXST campus, the Houston – San Jacinto College Campus, the Dallas College Campus, and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.
- Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis.
- Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need.
Requirements
Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
