Rowan University’s Department of Entrepreneurship invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track teaching-focused faculty position beginning September 1, 2026. This twelve-month appointment includes both instructional and operational responsibilities within the Rohrer College of Business. Initial contracts are two years and renewable, with expectations for continuing reappointment.

About the role

The Department seeks candidates with a multidisciplinary industry background and proven practice experience in diverse business settings, particularly entrepreneurial and start-up ventures. Strong preference is given to candidates who understand contemporary technology challenges, have guided start-ups through funding cycles, and possess deep operational expertise. International experience is a plus.

In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day physical infrastructure operations of the College. Participation in ongoing professional development to maintain currency in content areas and evidence-based instructional practices is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 24 credit hours across two semesters (day or evening classes) at undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Mentor students in entrepreneurship majors, minors, MBA programs, and certificate offerings
  • Support the operational and physical infrastructure of the Rohrer College of Business
  • Engage in professional development to stay current in content areas and instructional approaches
  • Option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation

Requirements

  • Terminal degree (e.g., PhD, DBA) or its professional equivalent
  • Relevant industry experience in entrepreneurial or start-up environments
  • High-quality college-level teaching experience
  • Background in physical building infrastructure, practical engineering concepts, or related technical fields
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship is not available)

Pay

Annual base salary ranges (12-month appointment):

  • Assistant Teaching Professor: Ranges 24–27
  • Associate Teaching Professor: Ranges 28–30
  • Teaching Professor: Ranges 31–33

Placement within the range is determined by qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors. Appropriate start-up packages may be available.
