The Department of Marketing & Business Information Systems at Rowan University is seeking a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor to begin in September 2026. This position supports multiple majors and minors, the MBA program, and various certificates.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach the college's undergraduate business technology fundamentals course, as well as other Information Systems & Analytics (ISA) courses as assigned. Responsibilities include making meaningful service contributions to undergraduate and graduate programs, the department, college, and university.
Responsibilities
- Teach the college's undergraduate business technology fundamentals course
- Teach other Information Systems & Analytics (ISA) courses as assigned
- Teach day or evening classes
- Make meaningful and substantive service contributions to undergraduate and graduate programs, the department, college, and university
- Participate in professional development to stay current in content area and evidence-based instructional approaches
Requirements
- PhD or professional equivalent in information systems, information systems and analytics, information technology, or a closely related field
- Relevant industry experience preferred
Qualifications
- Passionate about teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Ability to teach day or evening classes
- Experience teaching business technology fundamentals and other Information Systems & Analytics (ISA) courses

Pay
- Assistant Teaching Professor: Ranges 21-24
- Associate Teaching Professor: Ranges 25-27
Schedule
- 10-month, full-time, non-tenure track appointment
- Teach 24 credits over two semesters, with an option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation
- Renewable based on performance reviews and programmatic needs
