Brief Description

The Non-Agency Subservicing Sales Executive is responsible for sourcing, developing, and securing new subservicing relationships with Independent Mortgage Banks ("IMBs") and other financial intermediaries for various lending products including Residential Transition Loans (RTL), Non-Qualified Mortgages (NQM), Non-Performing/Reperforming Loans (NPL/RPL), Single Family Rental Loans (SFR), and 2nd lien products.

Job Functions And Responsibilities

  • Identify, source, and qualify subservicing prospects from private money lenders, banks, credit unions, investment banks, credit funds, hedge funds, IMBs, and other lead sources.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to each prospective client's needs, focusing on the unique value proposition of the company's mortgage subservicing solutions.
  • Work with marketing and product teams to develop sales presentation materials, case studies, and other materials to support the sales efforts.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial prospecting to contract negotiation, execution, and deal closure.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior executives and other key stakeholders, including capital markets teams, secondary marketing, and correspondent lending leaders.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, building brand awareness and positioning the company as a thought leader in the mortgage subservicing space.
  • Monitor mortgage market trends, MSR pricing conditions, regulatory changes, and competitive activity, providing insight-driven recommendations to leadership regarding product positioning, market opportunities, and strategic direction.
  • Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and updates on pipeline, performance, and market activity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Seasoned mortgage servicing professional with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the RTL, SFR, and other BPL space, prior subservicing/servicing experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience understanding excess spread and other structured finance trades is a strong plus.
  • Established network of mortgage banking and financial services contacts, including but not limited to mortgage bankers, banks, private investors, community banks, REITs, credit unions, and other financial intermediaries.
  • An existing pipeline of subservicing acquisition targets is a definite plus.
  • Working experience and connections with Private Equity firms are strongly preferred.
  • Prior sales experience, with the ability to manage entire sales cycle: from initial outreach/discovery through pricing/contracts through closing/onboarding.
  • Knowledge of residential & commercial servicing operations, securitization market, and secondary marketing activities is a strong plus.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating legal contracts, as well as a conceptual understanding about what matters and where we can give.
  • Deep understanding of servicing operations and default management.
  • Ability to research/report on current market trends through trade associations and publications.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce is required.
