NKY Sports Contributor

About the role

LINK Media is seeking Sports Contributors to cover high school sports news. This is a contract, part-time engagement position where contributors will manage assigned stories and pitch additional stories in their areas of interest. Contributions will be published digitally and in multimedia formats.

Responsibilities

• Manage and publish assigned stories and additional enterprise pieces
• Create digital and multimedia reports and creative stories
• Respond to news tips and accept assignments
• Maintain notes and audio recordings for review
• Collaborate with the managing editor and chief content officer

Requirements

• Experience or education as a sports reporter
• Strong writing and speaking skills
• Knowledge of multimedia production (websites, photo, audio, video editing)

Qualifications

• Ability to work quickly and adapt to a startup environment
• Willingness to remain flexible and maintain a collaborative attitude
• Understanding that contributions are part of a larger mission

Pay

Compensation is based on pay rates for games covered and stories written.
