Night Youth Care Worker

About the role

Pompano Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate risk female youth aged 13 to 18 who require borderline intellectual functioning, major disorder, intensive mental health, behavioral/mental health and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of youth
• Monitor and document behaviors
• Monitor and join youth during sports and recreation time
• Assist and mentor youth while they learn and develop within the program

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
• Valid Driver's License

Pay

$19 per hour. Eligible employees will receive a $1,000 Essential Skills Training Incentive upon successfully completing the required training within their first 90 days of employment.
