Night Replenishment Manager

Night Replenishment Managers (NRM) are members of the store leadership team and oversee freight handling activities. NRMs supervise the freight unload, pack out, and pack down processes, communicate priorities, ensure nightly tasks are completed, and freight moves smoothly throughout the store. This position teaches, coaches, and trains associates on The Home Depot policies and procedures while ensuring a safe working environment. NRMs may act as the only available Manager, making business and associate decisions in partnership with appropriate resources and following SOPs. They provide input to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers on associate performance through ongoing performance management and talent planning discussions.

Responsibilities

  • People (25%)
    • Provide in-the-moment coaching based on observations and behavior.
    • Partner with Night Operations ASMs regarding formal performance conversations and discipline.
    • Recognize associates for demonstrating expectations using tools like BRAVO/Homer.
    • Conduct quality walks of recently completed tasks and off-shelf merchandising locations.
    • Ensure associates complete training requirements for their positions.
    • Provide input on associate performance and participate in talent planning for hourly associates.
    • Assist with associate interviews and hiring processes.
    • Approve and address missed punches, variances, schedule changes, and call-outs.
    • Communicate and enforce store standards and Company policies.
  • Replenishment (25%)
    • Partner with Night Operations ASM to drive efficiencies and overnight productivity.
    • Direct supervision of Consistent Unload, Directed Packout, and Purge Pack down processes.
    • Execute quality walks to ensure correct completion of the Packout process.
    • Ensure timely and efficient unloading of trucks and trailers.
    • Ensure freight is packed out or placed in overhead quickly and efficiently.
    • Ensure the store is clean and "Grand Opening ready" at the end of the shift.
    • Prioritize and communicate tasks to associates and leaders.
  • Safety (25%)
    • Ensure associates follow all safety and hazmat procedures and Safety Matters guidelines.
    • Complete specified safety training and follow prevention policies.
    • Use and guide associates on proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lifting techniques.
    • Enforce safe distances around lift equipment and correct unsafe conditions.
    • Ensure aisles and flooring surfaces are safe for customers and associates.
    • Ensure associates complete all store checklists on time.
    • Recognize associates for safe behavior.
  • Shared Manager On Duty (25%)
    • Perform closing and Manager On Duty (MOD) tasks, including whole-store focus responsibilities.
    • Conduct hand-off walks with the prior MOD to identify areas for follow-up.
    • Validate daily store priorities with ASMs and SMs.
    • Ensure all store checklists are completed on time.
    • Verify equipment and machines are functioning properly.
    • Review current and upcoming events/ads to determine required actions.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of work experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy or awkward materials/equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area; unpleasant conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.
