Night Concierge

About the role

Join the overnight team at Discovery Dock West, a luxury residential development in the heart of Canary Wharf with around 200 apartments and first-class amenities including a concierge, gym, pool, spa and secure parking. You will be the calm, capable presence residents rely on through the night, keeping the lobby immaculate, managing access and safety, and supporting a community of busy professionals and families. With South Quay DLR, Canary Wharf Underground and the Elizabeth line close by, this is a well‑connected, high‑profile setting where service standards are uncompromising and every shift brings variety. Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, attentive front‑of‑house service while maintaining vigilant oversight of security, access and building standards throughout the night.
• Manage the desk, monitor CCTV and conduct patrols.
• Handle resident requests and issues, and complete thorough logs and handovers to the day team.
• Host the front desk: greeting residents and guests, managing keys, parcels and enquiries.
• Monitor CCTV and complete scheduled patrols to ensure safety, security and building standards.
• Manage access control, parking and late deliveries, and arrange taxis or assistance when needed.
• Respond to issues in apartments and communal areas, escalating and coordinating contractors as required.
• Keep detailed shift logs, incident reports and a comprehensive handover for the day team.
• Support the smooth running of amenities and ensure house rules are upheld overnight.

Requirements

You are a night‑focused professional with a calm, reassuring manner and impeccable personal presentation.

• Take pride in delivering thoughtful, people‑first service and creating a welcoming environment.
• Observant, discreet and security‑aware, with sound judgement under pressure.
• Communicate clearly with diverse residents and colleagues and work reliably to a 4 on, 4 off night pattern.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable using systems, radios and digital logs.

Qualifications

• Concierge, security or hotel front‑of‑house experience in a premium residential or hospitality setting.
• Confidence with CCTV, access control systems and incident reporting.
• Familiarity with building management software, handheld radios and digital shift logs.
• Exposure to fire safety, evacuation procedures or basic first aid.
• Knowledge of the Canary Wharf area and local transport connections.

Pay

£29,000 - £30,000 per annum
