ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all duties related to boiler operation, maintenance, recordkeeping to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance of boilers.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Keep chemical pumps in working order.
- Manage ammonia compressors and the ammonia refrigeration system to achieve required temperatures.
- Perform maintenance on the Ammonia Refrigeration system in accordance with standard operating and safety procedures.
- Play an active role in the Emergency Response Team.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, other shifts, and various departments.
- Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping.
- Assist coworkers assigned departmental tasks and provide general housekeeping support throughout the plant.
- Help train new employees as needed.
- Support maintenance personnel when needed with machine repairs and troubleshooting.
- Assist with process troubleshooting and serve as a technical resource when required.
- Adhere to all Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and AMPI Safety Polices & Procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred.
- Must have a valid Minnesota Boiler Operators license, 1st Class B or above.
