About the role

This position is responsible for balancing and closing the previous business day’s financials, completing daily financial reports, and managing on-duty responsibilities during the overnight shift. You will make independent decisions, ensure security protocols are followed, and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner while upholding the high standards of B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group and TownePlace Suites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manager-on-duty duties during the 3rd shift, responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner while providing the highest level of service.
  • Process check-ins, check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special guest requests.
  • Assist guests with knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hotel services, working independently or as part of a team to meet guest needs.
  • Follow the guest service recovery program to resolve issues effectively.
  • Accurately balance all revenue sources and complete daily financial reports, including processing no-show reservations and preparing reports for managerial review.
  • Close the financial day for the hotel and ensure proper handling of cash and financial transactions.
  • Monitor room availability, enforce booking policies, and use upselling techniques to maximize room revenue.
  • Adhere to cost controls, reduce expenses, and ensure proper use of equipment.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to meet required workload, including assisting with additional projects, stocking supplies, and supporting overnight staff.
  • Follow all company work rules, department procedures, and attend required meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow procedures for guest and associate incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Prior night audit or accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

Pay

$18 - $18 an hour. The actual base pay offered is determined by qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and other professional licenses held.
