Night Audit job

Essential Job Functions

• Assisting Guests with check in and check out needs.
• Preparing daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
• Running audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service and the computer.
• Making corrections and adjustments and handling all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
• Entering revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
• Balancing all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintaining files and resetting the system for next day operations.
• Complying with attendance rules and being available to work on a regular basis.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Previous hotel front desk experience required.
• Previous hotel night audit experience strongly preferred.
• The ability to communicate in English.
• A self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• A professional appearance and manner at all times.
• The ability to communicate well with guests.
• The willingness to "pitch-in" and help coworkers with their job duties and being a team player.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key.
• The ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
• The ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
