We’re a mission‑driven, nonprofit hospital serving a rapidly growing Texas community, known for compassionate care and a strong commitment to patients and families. Our Women’s & Newborn Services program continues to expand with modernized inpatient space, updated diagnostics, and enhanced maternal‑newborn resources designed to meet increasing community needs. The neonatal team cares for newborns who require specialized monitoring and interventions in a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery environment, with established pathways for higher‑acuity support when clinically indicated.

This full‑time, permanent position is for a passionate and dedicated NICU Nurse who will provide critical care to premature and medically fragile newborns while partnering closely with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high‑acuity NICU setting, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and performing necessary procedures.
• Utilize ventilator management (neonatal), CPAP/HFNC management, phototherapy management, and thermoregulation & incubator care techniques to stabilize and improve the health of newborns.
• Implement and adhere to the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) guidelines during emergencies.
• Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
• Provide education and emotional support to families, helping them understand their newborn's condition and care requirements.
• Participate in emergency response and rapid stabilization efforts, demonstrating quick decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Continually update knowledge and skills to keep pace with the latest advancements in neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Proven experience in ventilator management (neonatal), CPAP/HFNC management, phototherapy management, and thermoregulation & incubator care.
• Strong ability to provide family education & support in a NICU setting.
• Proficiency in EMR documentation and clinical charting.
• Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly stabilize patients.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient‑care skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, stressful environment while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.

Pay

Salary: $55,000 – $90,000 per year
