NICU Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care for neonatal patients.
• Educate patients and families and offer emotional support.
• Use nursing judgment to perform assessments, implement treatments, and demonstrate technical skills for conditions such as respiratory distress, prematurity, and sepsis.
• Promote excellent customer service and utilize the nursing process to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current nursing licensure.
• BLS certification.
• NRP and STABLE certifications within specified timeframes.
• At least 1 year of RN experience; NICU experience preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of human development, assessment, and treatment.
• Technical proficiency in neonatal care procedures.
• Patient-centered care and ability to adapt to diverse patient needs.
