NI-Advanced Practice Provider, Neonatology (NP)
Job Summary
UW Health in northern Illinois seeks an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) to join their 32-bed Level III NICU team in the Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.
About the role
The Level III NICU is staffed 24/7 by a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, who are part of a multidisciplinary team providing excellent and cost-effective care to the smallest patients. In this autonomous position, you will enjoy a collaborative practice which includes rounding to discuss and establish the plan of care; performance of invasive procedures within the NNP scope of practice; attendance at high-risk deliveries, transport, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.

Requirements
- Master’s degree from or completion of a master’s level advanced practice nurse program
- Active APRN license in State of IL and active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU

Skills
Your clinical support includes: Team of 6 neonatologists and 6 NNPs. Over a dozen pediatric sub-specialists from UW Health are located in this beautiful facility and are available for consultation and collaboration. MFM collaboration and 24 hour in-house OB hospitalist.
