Advanced Practice Provider (Neonatology)

About the Role
The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider provides health care to neonates, infants, and children up to one year of age. The APP delivers care for critically ill premature and full-term infants with an emphasis on family-centered, culturally diverse, sensitive care. In collaboration with the Neonatologist, the APP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity settings. The Advanced Practice Provider practices within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute, and/or subspecialty healthcare, enhancing the quality of care through education, clinical practice, advanced knowledge, and research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in collaboration with a physician.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Perform procedures as necessary.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education.
- Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.
- Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Current CDS and DEA certification
- Current NRP and BLS certification
APN Specific Requirements
- APN License
- RN License
- One of the following:
- NNP Certification with NICU RN experience
- Primary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient setting
- Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APP
PA Specific Requirements
- PA License
- PICU procedural experience or NICU experience as an APP
- NCCPA certification
Schedule
- Full Time
- 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Days/Nights rotation
- Rotating Holidays and Weekends
Pay
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
