About the role

The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider provides health care to neonates, infants, and children up to one year of age. The APP delivers family-centered, culturally sensitive care for critically ill premature and full-term infants. In collaboration with the Neonatologist, the APP is responsible for daily assessment and management of patients in both high and low acuity settings. The role involves practicing within a multidisciplinary team to provide primary, acute, or subspecialty healthcare, enhancing care quality through education, clinical practice, advanced knowledge, and research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in collaboration with a physician.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Perform procedures as necessary.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education.
  • Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed.

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Current CDS and DEA.
  • Current NRP and BLS certification.

APN Specific Requirements

  • APN License.
  • RN License.
  • One of the following:
    • NNP Certification with NICU RN experience.
    • Primary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient setting.
    • Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APP.

PA Specific Requirements

  • PA License.
  • PICU procedural experience or NICU experience as an APP.
  • NCCPA certification.

Schedule

  • Full Time.
  • 3 x 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights).
  • Rotating holidays and weekends.

Pay

$125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
