NGM - Greenfield Talent Program, Metallurgy

Responsibilities

• Work closely with operations, maintenance, ore control, metallurgical/assay labs, and outside departments to ensure environmental compliance and safe functionality of plant operations.
• Involved with the day-to-day safe production, plant improvements, and economic development, instrumentation, quality control, and trouble-shooting problems within the processing team.
• Be a team leader with excellent communication skills and be able to provide technical assistance and analysis to process group stakeholders.
• Understand strategic business planning and propose process improvement to maximize cash flow.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Process related degree required
• Zero (0) to One (1) years’ experience in metallurgy or processing preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in multiple software applications preferred
• Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
• Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required
• Ability to work and construct a team environment that creates and enhances the Nevada Gold Mines vision through understanding and capture of future opportunities required
• Ability to cross-train within the process and metallurgical group required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
