NGM - Greenfield Talent Program, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate engineering plans, sequences, dumping priorities, etc. to operations and other stakeholders on site and ensure plans are carried out safely and efficiently
• Aid in end-of-month reporting for leach pad deliveries as well as other necessary regulatory reporting
• Work closely with the mine operations team to execute on designs and plans safely and efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related degree required
• Zero to One year’s experience preferred
• Open Pit mining experience preferred
• Experience using Vulcan, Qpit, AutoCAD, Xeras, Deswik, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
• Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
• Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required
• Ability to cross-train within the mining engineering group required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
