About the role
National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and accident and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products. This role is within the Direct Auto Insurance division of Allstate.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business sales and understand customers' needs to build rapport and trust.
- Build and retain a book of business within the market / retail location.
- Sell to walk-in customers, market products outside the office via marketing calls and in-person visits, and create community relationships.
- Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products.
- Maintain and exceed sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell, and retention of customers.
- Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain an active physical presence in the community.
- Initiate outbound calling to established target customer base for product offerings.
- Monitor key competitors in the local market area and suggest improvements to the company's position in the marketplace.
- Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals.
- Deliver optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, including compliance with all rules, procedures, and standards consistent with the manager’s supervision.
- Understand, promote, and remain current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures.
- Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify reports of receipts for cash drawers.
Qualifications
- 0 – 2 years of experience in P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Pay
- Unlicensed Candidates: Base compensation: $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Licensed Candidates: Total Compensation: In addition to the base hourly rate, total compensation for this role may include incentive pay, such as commissions and bonuses, based on individual and team performance.
