Responsibilities

  • Act as in-house subject matter expert/consultant for NextGen Practice Management (EPM) and Patient Access systems.
  • Conduct onsite and/or remote NextGen EPM and InteliChart training.
  • Develop and improve onboarding training for new employees utilizing NextGen EPM in group, one-on-one, virtual, classroom, and real-time on-the-job settings.
  • Assign and assess NextGen EPM competencies of new employees to ensure independent work capability.
  • Provide remedial and annual competency training for existing staff.
  • Conduct competency assessments of new employees in partnership with Practice Managers where appropriate.
  • Create additional workflows and standardized work documents in collaboration with other departments when necessary.
  • Coordinate and conduct annual or recurring training for staff utilizing NextGen EPM and InteliChart.
  • Support department leaders and managers in creating and monitoring metrics for employees using NextGen EPM and other workflows.
  • Assist with audits for NextGen EPM users to ensure adherence to quality performance standards and minimize errors.
  • Ensure appropriate staff configuration and setup.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education/Experience: Medical terminology preferred. 2+ years of medical office experience required.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to gain knowledge of current practice management systems, electronic medical records, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
