Northern News Now, part of Gray Media, is seeking a News Video Editor to join our team. Gray Media is a growing multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets, reaching approximately 37% of US television households. Our portfolio includes 80 top-rated television markets and a robust digital agency, Gray Digital Media, along with video production companies and studio facilities.
About the role
The right candidate will have an interest in local news and the ability to work well within a team. This role involves editing news stories in various formats for newscasts and digital platforms, working under strict deadlines, and collaborating closely with producers and talent.
Responsibilities
- Edit news stories in various forms for newscasts and digital platforms using non-linear editing software.
- Receive and follow editing instructions from talent or producers.
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, mornings, and holidays as needed.
- Upload and download video to and from partner outlets and platforms.
- Communicate effectively with the newsroom team.
Requirements
- Proficiency with non-linear editing software such as Premiere (Edius Grass Valley preferred).
- Experience in TV news editing is preferred.
- Ability to work well under strict deadlines.
- Flexible work hours required.
- College degree preferred but not required.

Pay
$18.00 - $18.54 per hour.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Full-time position.
