TV News Video Editor

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is looking for a Video News Editor to edit for all newscasts.

Responsibilities

• Edit video for all newscasts
• Work under strict deadlines
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize assignments
• Work any and all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Requirements & Skills

• Some college education preferred
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum one-year experience operating video editing equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Knowledge of a working television newsroom is helpful

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to sit for extended periods
• Conduct telephone conversations and use electronic mail
• Write letters, memos, and conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups
• Make decisions without supervision and handle objects, tools, or controls
• Perform repetitive movements
• Work near others in environmentally controlled indoor conditions
• Work in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions

Pay

Annual salary range: $35,000 - $38,000
