News Video Editor

Responsibilities

• Edit a range of video elements for newscasts on tight deadlines
• Collaborate with producers, reporters, photographers, assignment editors and managers to produce high-quality content
• Cook up incoming video elements from crews in the field
• Ensure storage and organization of media files
• Execute our standard of excellence for all edited material
• Produce and publish content for online platforms
• Participate in special projects as assigned by news managers

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional video editing experience
• Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
• Must be able to work varied shifts including mornings, weekends and holidays
• Exhibit unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
• Can handle the pressure of time-sensitive newscast production
• Bilingual experience is a plus
• Related military experience will be considered

Qualifications

The estimated base salary range for this role is between $45,698 and $52,988. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law.
