About the role
In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. You will work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and Anchors on the newscast and its content. You will determine the content and flow of newscasts, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories, and develop content for our website.
Responsibilities
- Exercise solid news judgment
- Write compelling and accurate news stories
- Multitask and manage time to produce exciting and informative newscasts
- Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
- Execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
- Solve problems on the spot with flexibility
- Use newsroom systems such as iNews or Saga proficiently
Requirements
- Previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station (entry-level candidates may be considered)
- A journalism degree is preferred

Pay
The hourly compensation range for this role is $29.71 to $35.51. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
