News Photographer
About the Role
KUTV is looking for a creative and dedicated full-time News Photographer to join our team. We seek someone who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. The ideal candidate will have experience in ENG with a network affiliate news organization and a passion for storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Cover day-to-day general, in-depth features, and investigative assignments
- Shoot full High-definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops
- Produce good stories under tight deadlines
- Operate ENG news vehicles and equipment
Requirements
- At least two years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization
- Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems
- Excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude
- Degree in Journalism or a related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds regularly
- Technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
- Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
Qualifications
- Aggressive team-player with a passion for storytelling
- At least one year of shooting experience
