News Photographer

About the Role

We are seeking a creative full-time News Photographer who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. The ideal candidate will cover day-to-day general assignments, in-depth features, and investigative stories. You will shoot in full high definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Produce compelling stories under tight deadlines
• Operate ENG news vehicles
• Lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Requirements

• At least 2 years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization
• Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems
• Technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
• Excellent people skills, strong work ethic, and a great attitude
• Passion for storytelling

Pay

The hourly compensation range for this role is $21.66 to $27.64. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
